A beach theme lightens the mood in a formerly dark, depressing living room.
A cold and dark paneled family room is transformed and updated with a new ceiling, new floor, and bright colors. Sheldon and Jolene are brand new homeowners. Their 1959 house close to the beach hasn’t had any updates. Their family room off the kitchen is straight out of the 70s and doesn’t inspire them to entertain. The ceiling is lifted to expose an A frame roof with beams, a maple floor in a herringbone pattern replaces old linoleum, and vibrant, patterned wallpaper, along with whites, and orange and blue accents add a light, beachy look.
